Prof. Dr. Lukas Rösli
Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin
Lukas Rösli is junior professor of Medieval Scandinavian studies at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. He has shown in recent years, on the basis of various topics he has worked on, that assumptions considered to be facts in Old Norse studies are often discursively developed propositions that can rarely be substantiated via textual artefacts or historical contexts. His theoretically focused studies take as their starting point new philological, post-structuralist approaches applied with a historical perspective to medieval and early modern Old Norse-Icelandic literature.
